Our parenting programs help prevent child abuse by building strong families.
CPLC Parenting Arizona and CPLC Parenting Nevada provide family support services statewide through prevention, intervention and treatment programs. These services promote strong families by empowering parents to thrive, thereby creating communities where parents have the skills to raise healthy and successful children.
“During a time of crisis I could talk to PA staff to help me make the right choice.”
CPLC's Parenting programs provide the following services through six centers across Arizona and Nevada:
We offer a free parenting class series to parents and caregivers of children in Maricopa, Pima, and Coconino counties. Classes are usually 8-12 sessions depending on location, and parents and caregivers receive a certificate of completion at the end of the series. Please call (480) 491-2301 to enroll.
As a child’s first and most important teacher, parents receive the tools and techniques they need to help their children through our Healthy Families and Parents as Teachers curricula and monthly visits.
Parents of children in Coconino and Maricopa County are provided and connected to various parent education programs and community resources in either a school or community setting.

Through the Department of Child Safety, CPLC Parenting Arizona provides and connects at risk families to parent education, life skills training, and community resources.
Using the Project Toward No Drug Abuse curriculum, we cover topics surrounding teenage drug use and dependency that boost safe decision-making skills regarding substance use in tweens and teens. Over six virtual sessions, children aged 11-18 learn valuable information about the risks and effects of drug use, and resources that can help if they are ever in need. In this comprehensive program, we help caregivers break down active parenting techniques that let teens flourish in their home environments. With today’s teenager in mind, sessions teach a range of practices from conscious thought activities to prevention strategies.
